At the heart of our idyllic campus sits Airthrey Loch, overlooked by its 18th century namesake, Airthrey Castle – two picture-perfect additions to the landscape. The loch and its banks are part of the original castle estate, and home to an abundance of wildlife.
The listed Pathfoot Building was the first to be opened in Stirling University back in 1967, and offers a beautiful open-plan space which was used in the final episode of Outlander, season 2, appearing as Inverness College, which was visited by Brianna and Roger, and was where they met Geillis.
Add to this, a plethora of lecture theatres, endless corridors and even hotel bedrooms and you will see why the University of Stirling Venues offers a unique and varied option for filmmakers shooting on location in Scotland.
With event catering, a choice of hotel and self-catering accommodation and a dedicated events team all on site you can be assured of great service, comfort and our full attention while you are with us for your shoot.
